The Gemini Giant is a 30 ft tall statue that was previously located outside the Launching Pad Drive-In in Wilmington. In 2024 the statue was sold and is being renovated prior to its reinstallation at South Island Park in Wilmington.
The statue is named after the Gemini space program and holds a silver "rocket ship" in his hands, while sporting an astronaut's space helmet that looks more like a welding mask.
