A statue commemorating the founder of the LDS church, Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum.
On June 24, 1844, Church of Latter Day Saints founder, Joseph Smith, with his brother Hyrum, left Nauvoo for Carthage. This statue depicts the brothers beginning their fateful journey to their eventual martyrdom in Carthage.
