The Mississippi River Trail is a designated bicycle and pedestrian trail that traverses the shores of the Mississippi River in the United States.
The Mississippi River Trail (MRT) in the Quad Cities Region passes through numerous riverfront communities and countryside; the terrain is flat, and the surface is asphalt and concrete. Sweeping riverfront vistas are abundant all along the trail. The trail also follows the same route as the Great River Trail in the Quad Cities.
