The 2025 Great Race is rolling through Effingham! Come on out for this special lunch stop to see beautiful vintage cars and meet some participants during this 2,300 mile rally!
The "Great Race" is a multi-day, cross-country rally for vintage and antique vehicles. It's a precision pace race, not a high-speed competition, where driver/navigator teams must follow precise course instructions and navigate at or below posted speed limits. The 2025 Great Race starts in St. Paul, Minnesota, and finishes in Irmo, South Carolina, covering approximately 2,300 miles over nine days.
The Great Race stops at various cities along the route, offering the public a chance to see the classic cars and interact with the participants. Effingham is excited to host the race participants this year for a lunch stop along their route, offering folks like you to come out and meet some drivers and see some beautiful, vintage vehicles. So, bring the whole family down and join in on the excitement!
