Annual Parade in Marion to honor veterans past and present.
Marion proudly presents a parade to honor all Southern Illinois veterans. Bands will march and perform plus floats and over 1000 veterans from all branches of service will ride or march. A memorial ceremony will follow on the town square. The annual Veterans on Parade is being held to honor all the men and women veterans throughout Southern Illinois, who have ever served our country in both war and peacetime. Freedom Sings USA will also be occurring during this weekend and will culminate with a concert on the square in the evening following the parade to sing the songs of the local veterans.
