The Charles Gates Dawes House is a historic house museum at 225 Greenwood Street in Evanston, Illinois. Built in 1894, this Chateauesque lakefront mansion was, from 1909 until his death, the home of Charles Gates Dawes and his family.

The Dawes House, a magnificent Chateauesque Mansion overlooking Lake Michigan, was the home of the former United States vice president under Calvin Coolidge and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Charles Gates Dawes. Docent led tours take place at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm Thursday through Sunday. The Evanston History Center, located in the Dawes House, offers lively docent-led walking tours of Evanston neighborhoods, downtown and lakefront. The tours provide fun and fascinating insights into the history of Evanston, its architecture and the cultural landscape.
