Visitors can view rare collections of books, flags, early maps, games, and recreated classrooms.
The Country School and KISMIF ( Keep It Simple, Make It Fun) museums are available for any size group by appointment. Both museums are free of charge and offer a vast display of historic school artifacts and fascinating treasures from local one-room schools. Hands on crafts and games allow guests of any age to create wooden puppets, corn cob dolls, checkerboards or sit at a school desk and work on the Gettysburg address! See if you can pass the 8th grade final examination of 1918, along with many other displays depicting Amish schools, ornate penmanship and how learning over time has changed for youth in America.
