The Historic Lincoln Square Theater is thrilled to welcome the legendary Jefferson Starship to Decatur for their 50th Anniversary Runaway Again Tour on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
With 3 platinum and 8 gold records and a string of Billboard Top 40 hits, Jefferson Starship remains one of the most influential arena rock bands of the '70s and '80s. Originally founded by Paul Kantner as a collective of musical adventurers, the band continues to honor that legacy with dynamic performances that capture the spirit of exploration and freedom.
Today’s Jefferson Starship lineup includes original member David Freiberg, longtime drummer Donny Baldwin, keyboardist Chris Smith, guitarist Jude Gold, and powerhouse vocalist/guitarist Cathy Richardson. Together, they’ve toured all 50 states and across five continents, winning over new generations of fans while staying true to their iconic sound.
As the band celebrates this rare milestone, they carry forward the vision of Kantner, who once described the band as a journey into the unknown. That sense of adventure is still very much alive in every performance, where hits like “Miracles,” “Jane,” and “Count On Me” come to life on stage.
