The Schingoethe Center at Aurora University features 4,000+ works of American and Native American art. Free admission and guided tours available. A Smithsonian affiliate and the Fox Valley’s only art museum.

As the Fox Valley region’s only art museum, the Schingoethe Center of Aurora University hosts American art exhibitions. This Smithsonian-affiliated museum is also known for its permanent collection of traditional and contemporary Native American art containing more than 4,000 works. New temporary exhibitions open in January and September, while a permanent exhibition of Native American art is always on view. Visit Monday- Friday from 9A-5P and Tuesday until 7pm. Main galleries closed June-August. Located on the corner of Prairie Street and South Gladstone Avenue. Admission is free. Guided tours available on request.
