Have you ever wondered what Illinois might have looked like in the 1800s? How would people have lived their lives with no technology?

Come and visit Blackberry Farm, an educational and recreational public open-air museum and park which preserves, collects, communicates, and studies the history of rural Northern Illinois communities from the mid-19th century to the early 20th century.We have many historical sites that visitors can enter and be taken back in time. Hop on our tractor ride and head out to visit Pioneer Cabin to learn about early pioneer life in Illinois.

Visit the Blacksmith Shop to discover how tools were made before the age of machines. Take a stroll down our Early Streets exhibit, where guests will be able to see shops that existed in Aurora around the 1880s.

Not only can you explore our historic sites, but you’ll also find fun for all ages. Ride the train, climb and slide through Adventure Playground, feed the farm animals, or paddle around Lake Gregory. With so much to see and do, there’s always an adventure waiting at Blackberry Farm!
